Top Ten Movies I Can See More Than Once … And Have

Anytime one of these pops up while I’m channel-surfing, I can’t not stop. This list supplements all the other lists just so I don’t have any repeats.

  1. The Princess Bride
  2. Star Wars (pre-reboot)
  3. This is Spinal Tap
  4. Fight Club
  5. The Cornetto Trilogy (a cheat to lump three in one but who you gonna call? ooh, that reminds me…)
  6. The Godfather (you thought I was going to say Ghostbusters, didn’t you? and I would, if I were stuck in the ’80s)
  7. Pulp Fiction
  8. The Shawshank Redemption
  9. Raising Arizona
  10. Young Frankenstein

  1. this is the first time i’ve heard of the trilogy – i’ve never seen raising arizona or this is spinal tap.

young frankenstein was pretty damn brilliant.

rather than the star wars stuff – i think when it comes to movie series, the harry potter stuff really holds up well.

  2. re your Hi-Yah.

do check out hero (it is beautiful) and house of flying daggers. i think both were much better than crouching tiger…

  3. you have to see ‘shaun of the dead’ and ‘hot fuzz’.
you have to see ‘raising arizona’.
you have to see ‘this is spinal tap’.

if ‘star wars’ and ‘harry potter’ were both on at the same time, i’d tune into ‘star wars’. han solo beats potter any day of the week.

  4. yep, i’ve seen both of those and enjoyed them greatly. i just don’t own those dvds. in fact, my dvd purchasing died very suddenly one day. not sure why or when but now the only new dvds i get are kid-related and even those are diminishing now that you can stream stuff.

  5. //han solo beats potter any day of the week.//

harrison ford is a terrible actor, i mean really bad.

  6. notice i said ‘han solo’.

  7. he was a better indiana jones than a han solo me thinks.

but more importantly – i can’t believe ‘the incredibles’ didn’t make your animation list. it was soooo good!

  8. you should come up with your own list on your own blog!

that dvd didn’t come out until 2005.

  9. re drama – would ‘no country for old men’ or ‘there will be blood’ or ‘gangs of new york’?

  10. hahah, my girl’s got ’em!
