One of AP’s favorite bedtime stories is Mr. Nosey. The impetus behind her constantly choosing that book over a more appropriate one (e.g., Goodnight Gorilla or Snoozers) is a mystery. Could be that even as a three-year-old, she has a fully developed sense of schadenfreude (typical Brit fashion: plenty of gleeful violence and revenge and trickery). Could be that she enjoys my accents (narration in English; dialogue in Scottish). Could be that she can prolong the bedtime ritual by pointing to each Mr. Man on the back and demanding to know who dat is, who dat is, who dat is. Mr. Nosey and Mr. Grumpy were bought for TP years ago. How fortuitous is it that a special edition “Little Miss Princess” book just came out? Amazon, ho!
