Green Beans Recipe:
Clean, trim, and steam a bunch o’ green beans until desired tenderness (slightly soft but still snappy or crunchy). Maybe 5 minutes?
Toss in bowl with some EVOO and balsamic vinegar (a bit more than needed to coat the beans), a pinch of salt (Alton Brown would insist on kosher) and pepper (Alton Brown would insist on freshly ground), and a touch of sugar (Alton Brown … well, hell. We aren’t Alton Brown, are we?). You can add some minced garlic if you are in a stinky breath kind of mood.
Put in a plastic container with a lid, do the hokey pokey and you shake it all about, and either eat immediately or let chill for a while and then enjoy.
